Buy-side advisory is structured as a retained mandate plus a success fee at close. The total is benchmarked against institutional brokerage norms and disclosed in writing before the first introduction. There is no public rate card — acquisition briefs in the $6M–$150M+ range are priced against complexity, not volume.

The majority. Our sourcing network spans international markets, private inventories, and pre-market opportunities — vessels whose owners are open to sale but have declined public listing. You are introduced to opportunities that will not appear on YachtWorld, Denison, or the MLS feeds.

Who runs due diligence on the vessel?

Accepted Answer

Elegasea coordinates the technical inspection, sea trial, survey, and provenance review. Independent surveyors and class societies are retained on behalf of the principal. Maintenance records, refit history, and operational logs are assembled for principal review before any offer is positioned.

Does Elegasea handle flag, registration, and post-close transition?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Flag transfer, registration, documentation, crew continuity, delivery logistics, and handoff to operation — private use or hybrid charter model — are managed end-to-end. We have coordinated transactions across Turkish yards, Mediterranean delivery routes, and Atlantic crossings.
